  9. I recentry installed a Cardinal modem MVP288XV.  When I dial I only
  10. get the dial tone, then total silence and the I connect.  I would like
  11. to hear the actual dialing and carrier as with my old modem.  I
  12. attemted to contact Cardinal Tech by phone and e-mail with no results.
  13. How do I correct this problem?  I also sent an 'M1' command to the
  14. modem with no results.
